2. Local Storage

Any data generated by the extension, such as your saved Spanish vocabulary words and their translations, is stored exclusively on your device using Chrome's local storage API. This data never leaves your computer unless you manually export it.

3. Permissions Used

To function correctly, FlashSpanish requires the following permissions:

storage: Used to save and retrieve your personal vocabulary list on your device.
activeTab: Used to read the text on the page you are currently viewing so it can provide translations when requested.

4. Third-Party Services

We do not use any third-party analytics, tracking services, or cloud storage providers. The extension operates entirely within your browser environment.

5. Dictionary Source & Licensing

FlashSpanish utilizes dictionary data from Wiktionary via Kaikki.org. This data is licensed under CC-BY-SA 3.0.

6. Data Control

You are in full control of your data. You can view, export (as a text file), or delete your entire vocabulary list at any time through the extension's "View All Words" page.

7. Children's Privacy

Since we collect no personal information, FlashSpanish is safe for users of all ages, including high school and college students. We do not knowingly or unknowingly collect data from children.
